Andreas Larsson, winner of the “World’s Best Sommelier” title, says:

Dark ruby; the nose offers roasted oak and young fruit; the palate is medium to full, quite soft texture, attractive dark fruit, blackcurrant and plum; good length and fine balance.

And Robert Parker:

A sleeper of the vintage, this opaque ruby/plum-colored wine offers up dense mulberry and black currant fruit, full body, impressive texture and a long finish. I generally don’t see this wine frequently, but this was very impressive.

If this sounds delicious (and impressive), it is.

A superb (and yes very slow aging) example of this classic vintage, about which Vinous says:

A superb vintage of wines with off-the-charts dry extract, high tannin and elevated acidity, the 2010s are likely to age at glacial pace. The 2010s are the polar opposite of the 2009s, and will appeal most to readers with classically-leaning palates. Some wines show the effects of the very dry summer in their tannin profiles, but overall, this is a vintage of stunning, age worthy wines.
