We taste a lot of wines here with suppliers. And a lot of good ones, too. (They tend not to waste our time with things we wouldn’t sell.) But very few have been as eye-opening as this utterly beautiful Rioja was.
It’s from a tiny property, only 6.5 hectares, and made in a converted stables by the vineyard. But it’s made with a passion and uncompromising commitment, and a reverence for the traditional methods, that seems more like that of a cutting edge hipster California winemaker that a Rioja veteran.
No press here. You’ll just have to take our word for it.
