Classically rich, ripe and delicious old-vine Dry Creek Zin from some of the best vineyards in Sonoma. This is as good as the $40+ wines Knuttel fashions from these same vineyards under his own label.
It’s 87% Zinfandel, 9% Petite Sirah and 4% Syrah, aged in all French oak. Only 298 cases were made – and it looks like we’re the only store to now have any. (Everybody else sold out for more!)
Knuttel says you can drink it now or hold it for 4-7 years.
It’s also from the top-rated Sonoma Zinfandel vintage ever in the Wine Spectator’s chart.
I’d put this knockout Zin up against a lot of famous $30 to $40 big names: it really is that good.
