It was the one wine in the tasting (of a very strong lineup) that just blew me away.
60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, from very low-yielding, old hillside vines facing Pomerol, and with the same gravelly soil. What struck me most was just how deep and rich and serious this wine is – not just for the money, but period.
You can certainly enjoy this now, but it will cellar very well, too.
