The winery says:
Our Chardonnay is crafted from organic grapes grown in California, a haven for organic winegrowing. We ferment a portion of this wine in oak barrels and a portion in stainless steel to create a lively Chardonnay with hallmark creamy, citrus-focused flavors and a fruit forward, long finish.
It’s also apparently low in sulfur.
This really does strike a very nice balance between cleanness and freshness and the richer, fuller, creamier qualities of oak aged California Chardonnay. It helps that it’s from prime, cool-climate fruit.
I think even a lot of people who generally find California Chardonnays a bit too cloying will really like this one. It’s both very flavorful and very fresh.
