I had high expectations for this, but it easily exceeded them. It’s 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the remainder Merlot and a touch of Malbec, from the famed SLV and Fay vineyards, as well as those that supply the Artemis, and it’s quintessentially Stags Leap. As well as a dead-on reminder of what established this historic winery as one of Napa’s greatest.
Silky-rich, supple and sophisticated – yet with the pitch perfect balance and structure that only Stags Leap can deliver, this is absolutely irresistible now, but I’d bet on it to improve and last for years.
People are going to LOVE this one. Especially for only $30.
NO other Stags Leap Cabernet blend with the pedigree, history and sheer quality sells for anything close to this low a price.
