Wine Enthusiast 92 and Editor’s Choice (and top Sancerre for the money):
In this wine, fresh fruits are crisp with acidity and tangy orange-zest flavors. A strong, youthful mineral element that bursts with energy will stand the wine in good stead as it matures.
Canadian wine writer Natalie Maclean rates it outstanding, too:
A signature Sancerre with the hallmark lemon-zest and flinty flavours with briny mineral notes on the palate. Rich with great backbone and vibrant acidity.
But I think the Australian importer describes this 2020 best:
This is a richer, riper, more full-bodied Sancerre that intrigues. You’ll find aromas of lemony apple and melon fruit, with the merest hint of green herbs, subsumed into the stony frame. Firm acidity underlies the surprising weight and creamy richness of the palate — nicely balanced overall, with a surprisingly ripe, forward character.
