Sheehan shares this great vineyard with Williams-Selyem, Flowers and Littorai among others. It was planted in the 1960s.
Though certainly less expensive than the others, I find Sheehan’s (with Littorai’s) my favorite. In part, I suspect it’s because Sheehan doesn’t stir the lees here and uses very little new oak, keeping this very rich old vine Chardonnay very fresh, long and fine as well.
