Like all of the Darms Lane wines, this is very much an insiders’ and in-the-know Napa Cabernet. There’s no press, but here’s what consumers on CellarTracker have said about Fortune 1621:
On the nose I get tons of black currant and cream, blackberry, hint of evergreen. On the palate, I get incredibly creamy black fruit, leather, cracked pepper.
Very, very good Napa Cab with a creaminess that I rarely see.
I went in with high expectations given its Darm's Lane affiliation and was not disappointed.
Full bodied CA cab. Typical in style. Medium long finish. Fruit forward. Amazing value. Could drink this all day long. Enjoy.
Lovely full cab. Easy to drink without food. Will add more to my cellar.
Winemaker Brian Mox, who has worked with Lewis and Etude and also makes the Laird Family wines, certainly knows what to do with top-quality Napa Cabernet fruit like this. His 2018 Fortune 1621 is a beauty!
