From the winery:
The fruit of our 2013 Spinnaker is sourced primarily from a vineyards on Olivet Road in the heart of Russian River Valley. The second smaller vineyard is located about 10 miles to the west and typifies the hearty, crisp and smooth flavors of the Sonoma Coast. The best of both worlds.
The 2013 Spinnaker Chardonnay displays flavors and aromas of Granny Smith apples, pears, quince, lemon curd and vanilla. It also possesses our trademark vibrant acidity and lovely textural mouthfeel.
The fruit was hand-harvested, whole cluster pressed and transferred to French oak barrels, approximately 25% of which were new. It was aged on the lees for 11 months with occasional battonage.
