A tiny selection (6000 bottles made, versus 80,000 of the normale), from old vines in the very heart of the vineyards. The result is a much denser, richer, more concentrated and complete Brunello.
Suckling 95:
The sliced dark-cherry and floral aromas with hints of meat and spice are beautiful. Full body, round and chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. A linear bead of acidity to the integrated fruit and tannins. Drink after 2022.
This one gives a lot of Brunello’s $100+ (and sometimes +++) elite a run for their money.
