This glorious and flamboyant rosé is a true reflection of the inspirational Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria, Sissy, featured on its label. The wine is made of Blatina (BLAH-tee-nah) grapes, a native variety of the Herzegovina (Her-tsuh-GOH-vee-nuh) wine region. Dark pink color, subtle tastes of wild strawberry, citrus, and underlying notes of Mediterranean stone fruits: peaches and apricots. Emporia Rosé is perfect with light fish and vegetable dishes. Indira’s recommendation: Cesar Salad with grilled shrimp or octopus brings wild strawberry and other red berries flavors out.
