Master of Wine Tim Atkin rates this 96:

I love 2016 says Alvaro Espinoza and it’s hard to disagree when this El Niño-affected vintage produced something as good as this blend of mostly Syrah, Carmenère and Cabernet Sauvignon with lesser amounts of Mourvèdre, Malbec, Garnacha and Tempranillo.

Elegant, refined, yet not lacking concentration, it’s a polished, complex red with haunting perfume, stylish oak and violet, white pepper and vanilla spice top notes. Drink date: 2020-2030.”

Suckling 94:

A red that shows lots of complexity on the nose with fresh herbs, dark plums, walnuts, cedar, earth, black pepper and spices. The palate is taut and dialed-in, framing undergrowth and brambleberries within fine-grained tannins, against a sheen of animated acidity. A blend of syrah, carmenere, cabernet sauvignon, garnacha, malbec and tempranillo. From biodynamically grown grapes.

And here’s a CellarTracker review:

Nose was not closed out of the bottle but improved over 2 hours in a decanter. Still in the first third of its drinking window this wine is drinking well now. Nose is bold and expressive with dark fruits of plum, blackberry, cherry, cranberry and cassis as well as secondary notes of vanilla, cedar, smoked meat and chocolate. The wine is full-bodied with firm but not excessive tannins, balanced acidity and high alcohol. Flavours of plum, blackberry, black pepper and tobacco. Unbelievable QPR.[And that’s at $35, the best price anywhere else!]

Really unbelievably sophisticated (and good) for a Chilean red.
