The Wine Enthusiast rates this both outstanding and the best vintage ever at $60, saying:
The top wine from this estate, this is pure Merlot, a ripe wine with juicy black fruits and smoky spice from the wood aging. Age the wine to let the rich tannins calm down and integrate into the broad fruitiness. Drink from 2022.
Haut-Piquat is a prime, south-facing hillside vineyard in the far south of the appellation (nearest to Pomerol and Saint-Emilion), and their regular Chateau bottling is excellent – indeed as good as many minor Saint-Emilions. But in this part of Bordeaux, when you see something a the “fleur” or “flower” of a property, it means it’s the crème de la crème: the very best this property can produced.
“Highly Recommended” at $60. So what about at only $29.99?!
