Those of you who know Croze know: they make flat-out remarkable Napa Cabernets and values.
And this rare Coombsville Cabernet Reserve, a one-off in 2017, is simply the best (and at the winery price of $125 most expensive) wine they’ve ever made.
Benton says:
Grapes for the 2017 Vintners Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon came from a small family owned vineyard in the Coombsville AVA. The Coombsville AVA is Napa's most southern AVA thus the region benefits from marine breezes coming off the nearby San Pablo Bay, as well as a long and cool growing season due to its location in the valley. This extended ripening period gives this wine its signature silkiness, unmistakable blue and black fruit and pronounced acidity
TASTING NOTES
The 2017 CROZE Vintners Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville captures classic Coombsville lushness, dark fruits and a palate with a plush texture and fresh acidity. This wine reflects the depth and complexity of the cool climate and extended growing season only enhanced by extended barrel aging. Don’t hurry--let it develop on your palate.
Simply the finest (and most limited) Cabernet Croze has ever made. And the only other place to buy it is at the winery, for over 35% more.
