It’s from old, high-altitude vines situated just around the corner from Corton and Corton-Charlemagne, on the great hill of Corton. (An incredible location for a ‘mere” Bourgogne.)
Rapet says:
You will discover a red wine with a deep garnet hue whose bouquet "pinotes", revealing notes of cherry and raspberry. It is ample and generous, the silky tannins ensuring a velvety character which persists on the palate. Excellent with leg of lamb or a nice cut of beef.
Here’s a CellarTracker review:
Quite mineral and stony. The vineyards have been around for 1,000 years first done by monks. It’s on the backside of Corton so as your heading out Pernand and heading towards Nuits Saint George.
A crowd pleasing wine notes Erin. Which it is. Soft and fruity and very fine.
