Here is a really cool opportunity to get the first in a series of ongoing magnum only releases from our good friend Birk O'Halloran. This is a series of all one off wines never to be seen again and always bottled in 1.5L or bigger formats! Every bottle is hand numbered and labeled by Birk himself. The 2017 Testa Vineyard Zinfandel was a killer barrel that Birk liked and decided to put into this 1.5L bottle. It is all native yeast ferment from the 85 year old dry farmed Testa vineyard. Birk feels Zinfandel is a challenge in that he doesn't like the cloying purple stuff that we have been fed for years....this wine is not that he says!! The grapes are from a cooler site in a one stop town, Calpella in Mendocino county. The wine is elegant with acid and character.
