From old vines (over v60 years) in this superb grand cru, and fermented in older oak fudres, which contributes to the wonderfully classic style of this extraordinary Gewürztraminer.
What really stands out here for me is the tension – something I usually miss in the heavier Alsatian Gewürztraminers which are so much the norm – even at the exalted level of Zind-Humbrect.
