Vinous rates this over EVERY Austin Hope ever, as well as about two-thirds of the Justin Isosceles they’ve reviewed, saying:
Opaque ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of ripe black raspberry, cherry, baking spices and cola; a floral note emerges as the wine stretches out. Juicy, silky in texture and appealingly sweet, offering energetic red fruit, spicecake and violet pastille flavors and a building mineral overtone. Finishes on a gently tannic note, with strong persistence and repeating floral and spice notes. 10% whole clusters and 5% new French oak.
