The Wine Spectator rates it 93 points at $50, saying:
Rich and polished, with an elegantly complex core that drives the black cherry and dusky spice flavors toward a long finish, with medium-grained tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Drink now through 2027.
That’s higher than they rate the $100 Leonetti Cabernet and several $100 to $125 wines from Cayuse!
This is aged for a full 30 moths in a combination of new French oak and older 500-liter puncheons, with twice daily punch downs by hand. And though it’s quite rich and ripe for Washington at 14.6%, it’s still just incredibly well-balanced, nuanced and complex.
