This one was hugely popular when we last had it.
It’s a very nice – rich, smooth and appealing, and unusually classy and elegant – California Cabernet at its normal $18 price. It’s from Treasury Wine Estates, who own about as many great vineyards as anyone in California (BV, Stags’ Leap Winery, Beringer, etc.). So as they say in the business, there’s some “very good juice” in here. And it really does show. This wine simply “outclasses” virtually any other $18 Cabernet in the market.
No mainstream press, but very impressive Vivino reviews:
Amazing wine for the deal! It tastes like a $40 cab. Fruit forward and soft tannins.
Great wine....it was bold and smooth. Perfect to enjoy on it's own without any food. Great price made it even better. Cherry with the slightest hint of chocolate...very nice ?
It is a terrific wine. It doesn't have too much of a bite on the tongue. It's soft and very easy to drink
These tasters really do get what separates this from the value Cabernet pack…its unusually seamless elegance and class. I think this must be the most enjoyable and broadly appealing California Cabernet at this price we’ve sold.
