At $60, the Wine Spectator rates this the best EnRoute ever.
They also rate it above the 2018 Far Niente Chardonnay ($75) and Cabernet ($125) and equal to the $200 Oakville Cab from Far Niente.
Again, they price this Pinot at $60, saying:
Rich, with an enveloping viscosity to the flavors of dark currant, plum tart and cherry pastry. Graphite and hot stone notes emerge midpalate, with dark chocolate details and hints of pepper on the finish. Drink now through 2025.
One of the greatest successes of this great vintage for the Far Niente group.
It’s $60 at the winery, by the way, with member discounts down to $51, and $54.99 at Total, the next-best NC price.
