There’s no press on this vintage, though the Wine Spectator rated the 2017 vintage 93 points (top LVE yet), saying:
Big and rich-tasting, with concentrated dark fruit and Asian spice flavors that are fresh and focused. Minerally snap midpalate, followed by a finish loaded with dark chocolate and savory accents. Merlot, Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2026. 143 cases made.
As you’d expect in the great 2018 vintage, this is both riper AND has a higher acidity – the marks of an even greater wine. (And it was given a longer maceration – such was the quality of the fruit.)
Again, this is already sold out at the winery. (The only current LVE release to be sold out.) And no other stores even have it!
