You might wonder just how we are able to offer such a superb Chardonnay at so much less than anyone else does. Well, the answer is simple: our supplier is losing this winery, so they gave us a huge deal on their last 40 cases.
Now, I know you hear this all the time: but here’s a wine where the descriptions are far more revealing than the score.
Because what makes this Chardonnay so special – especially for the money – is how it combines the rich, creamy and buttery attributes that so many California Chardonnay fans crave with the freshness, intensity and balance that such Chardonnays almost always lack.
On the one side there’s “coconut, stone fruit, white peach and apricot with soft, toasty vanilla.” On the other there’s “lime peel, lemon, chalk, lime zest, grapefruit peel, green apple, vibrant, salivating acidity and a long finish.”
So yes, this is a California Chardonnay of unusual balance and sophistication. And one that we all really liked.
Especially at only $12.99.
We bought all there was, but there’s never enough of deals like this.
