This vintage Cava, made from very old, high-altitude vineyards near Barcelona, has been one of Spain’s best sparkling wines since 1901. It’s so rich and ripe (and really Champagne-like) that it needs no dosage. (Thus “Nature.”)
As Wine & Spirits says:
“The fruit is sourced from very old vines and has a strong yeasty and chalky feeling, a bright yellow color and a supple, tasty palate, with well integrated bubbles, good acidity and freshness. A great Cava at a great price.”
Parker agrees, saying of Naveran:
This is one of the finest Champagne imitations, or Cavas, I have tasted from Spain. As the importer says: “Taste this blind against a $40 big brand Champagne: you’ll be amazed.”
