The Roux family are fifth generation Burgundy vignerons and are among the largest landowners of top, south-facing hillside vineyards throughout the Cote. This Chassagne may be the finest value they offer.
The only critic to have reviewed it so far, Wilfred Wong, rates it Outstanding, saying:
The 2018 Roux Père & Fils Chassagne-Montrachet offers excellent delivery and firmness on the palate. TASTING NOTES: This wine shines with aromas and flavors of ripe fruit, light oakiness, and a note of creaminess. Pair it with oven-baked game birds in a savory, wine-reduction sauce.

Had a delicious Chard the other day from a C-M winery in the Cote D’Or. Single vineyard grown in limestone soil. Opens with a nose of honeysuckle, hazelnut, pear, and vanilla. Balanced mouth of pear, truffles, buttered scone, and crushed stone. Unctuous yet mineral driven from the limestone soil. Very refined and elegant.
