It’s rare that we know exactly and for sure what some of our “super-secret” wines – those from wineries which sell them off to clients like End of the Vine, who then sell them under their label without disclosing their identity - actually are…but with this one we do.
And we’ll tell you if you ask (just not in print!).
But you might be able to figure this one out:
- It’s from the highest elevation winery, and one of the highest vineyards, on Howell Mountain. Right up at the summit.
- It’s from the great 2018 vintage – which the Wine spectator rates Napa’s top Cabernet vintage ever; and
- It sold out at the winery itself for $120. (And is selling in a rather famous California store, in Berkeley, now for $287.)
