This could actually be labelled as a Cabernet Sauvignon, as that’s 75% of the blend. And most of it comes from Beringer’s top properties on Howell Mountain.

Dunnuck rates this not only outstanding, but equal to four of Beringer’s top $150 single-vineyard Cabernets, saying:

The 2019 Q Red Wine is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon yet includes Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot (maybe even some Malbec). It's a plush, medium to full-bodied, sexy Napa Valley red offering plenty of cassis and currant fruits, ripe, velvety tannins, plenty of fat and opulence, and outstanding length. It's well worth enjoying any time over the coming decade.

Also 94 from the Tasting Panel:

This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend opens with a red currant, boysenberry, and forest floor bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. It has a really soft mouthfeel and is well-balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a black plum and stony minerality blend with notes of black tea and black raspberry. We also detected hints of black currant, spice, and Baker’s chocolate. The finish is rather dry and its tannins build-up and last for a very long time.

Also outstanding for Suckling:

A ripe and juicy red with blackberries and dark plums, together with some vanilla and dark-chocolate character. Full-bodied and very rich with a layered texture of ripe tannins with the fruit.

Outstanding for Vinous and the International Wine Report, too.

This 2019 is a tip-top vintage for Napa’s oldest continuously operating winery.
