This is the home property of the brilliant small family negociants Vedrenne, where we get such other artisanal (and wildly underpriced) Bordeaux gems as Chateau Barraillots in Margaux. It’s also located in the very heart of Lalande-de-Pomerol, just across a small stream from Pomerol itself, right by that appellation’s lovely 12th century church.
As Roger Voss says in Decanter, the very finest, most serious Lalande-de-Pomerols like this “are of an equal quality to a middle-ranking Pomerol.” (And middle-ranking Pomerols mainly start at over $100.)
