From two top vineyards, Martinelli and Bucher (which from Williams-Selyem sells for $175).
The winery says:
Velvety cherry and cocoa aromas with hints of sassafras and vanilla. Flavors of ripe cherry, ripe stone fruit pomegranate with a subtle plum skin and cranberry finish.
If you’ve had any of the top old Kosta-Browne Pinot Noirs, you know they are the closest thing to liquid velvet or silk that wine can be. And this Russian River beauty is very much in that mold.
