The winery says:
Dramatic style, vibrant packaging and fruit-forward, smooth wines are the signatures of the Francis Coppola Diamond Collection. This Diamond Red Blend has a velvety texture and fragrant notes of violets, spices and toasted oak layered with rich, luscious flavors of blueberries, cherries and plum.
Pairs beautifully with grilled meats and aged cheeses.
Again, this 2019 vintage, with so much Petit Verdot, is the richest and most velvety-powerful Coppola Red blend to date – and far superior to the 2022 vintage that Wine.com sells for $16.99.
Vivino, which prices this 2019 at $22.49, has a ton of great reviews:
Excellent value, deep flavors from petit Verdot.
Silky smooth black fruit jammy with oak hints and a nice red fruit pucker in the finish and in the bouquet…lovely and definitely a new favorite!
A steal, to say the least! Nose wafting with aromas of blueberry, charred cedar, fig and fresh cut flowers. The palate is round and robust, full of plum, chocolate covered cherries, violet scented pastry, and pepper spice.
Red and black fruits. Cherry plum very smooth with strong tannins, balanced. Very delicious, complex blend.
To our taste, even better (really much better) than Coppola’s Wine Enthusiast 90-point (and $21) 2019 Diamond Collection Cabernet. The Petit Verdot just excels this year.
But then, we find we almost always love a good Petit Verdot.
