Here’s a (really good) South African one, from that country’s top Pinot region, Walker Bay, and the brilliant Wynand Grobler.
The only other store in the world to still have this top 2019 vintage – best ever on Vivino, with some ecstatic reviews, (also in NC) has it for $34.99.
So many great reviews, but I loved this one:
A Pinot Noir often catches you offside, as taste perceptions change as the wine aerates and transforms in the glass. It actually beautifies as it breathes, and the initially sour cherry and raspberries transform into cloves and musty sweet tobacco. A wine that grows on you, because by the end of the bottle it has captured and enticed the drinker as each successive glass tickles the palate in a happy and earthy satisfaction.
