96 points, James Suckling:
This super mineral and super elegant dry riesling has a stunning balance, but is only just beginning to open up. Golden aromas, but no hint of opulence or overripeness. Long, graceful finish. From vines planted in 1937. Drink or hold.
95 points, Wine & Spirits:
One of the steepest vineyards in Germany, at an 80-degree slope, Abtei Rupertsberg has been planted to vines since the 12th cen-tury. Those vines produced a wine of uncanny grace in 2019. It sings in high, clear tones of lemon and sunshine, intense and arresting; the flavors edge toward passion fruit and can- died orange rinds, filling the head with their fragrance.
