No reviews yet, but here’s an excellent (and very accurate) description on CellarTracker:
No true decant but opened 30+ minutes before serving. Dark purple; fragrant, complex nose of blackcurrant, blackberry, some graphite that evolved nicely; rich, round black fruits, some oak, more there, very good mouthfeel; good persistence. Delicious. Held back a glassful and finished it 48h later--more subdued fruit and delicious in a different way. Bottle weighed more than the juice, but this is one of the few times where that signals the true "weight" of what's inside. Though I don't know the category, it seems like a relative value among "luxury" Napa Bdx blends.
This vintage is an especially rich, dark, ripe (15.2%) and imposing Lancaster.
[The Lancaster, by the way, was the British heavy bomber that carried out the famous Dam Busters raid and dropped the Tallboy and Grand Slam mega bombs. An appropriate namesake for this.]
It’s 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot.
