This is very much like the Parker 100-point Aussie Shirazes Ringland has made at his own winery and multiple other projects over the years…but with the additional intrigue of the Pappy barrels. We had a lot of really impressive (and highly rated) Syrahs open at our recent tasting, but this huge Syrah just dwarfed them all. (And in a lighter vintage than 2019!)
We sold three times as much of it as any wine in the tasting.
If you love Syrah at its darkest, richest and most substantial – or really the most powerful Australian Shirazes – do not miss our few cases of this one. It’s monumental.
Indeed, if we have any left, I’d love to show this beside a top Mollydooker: it’s that big.
