The Wine Advocate says:

I love the contemporary labeling of this wine that depicts what looks like giant pumice stones against a white and light blue background. The Tenuta di Castellaro 2019 Bianco Pomice is a blend of Malvasia delle Lipari and Carricante (that is partially aged in oak). It shows a bright golden hue with some distant greenish highlights. The bouquet is redolent of sweet honey and yellow roses, and although the overall effect is quite fragrant and floral, that mouthfeel brings on a dry and linear style that makes for a nice contrast. It's as if mountain flowers meet the sea shore.

It has been so exciting to witness the steady progress of Tenuta di Castellaro over recent years. Last year, I named this organically farmed winery on my list of top discoveries from Italy.

And Vinous:

A pretty bouquet of white flowers, ginger and crushed apples lifts up from the 2019 Bianco Pomice. It gains a bit of tropical flair and richness with time in the glass. Here I’m finding creamy, almost glycerol-like textures that sooth: a polished display of peach and ripe pear coasting along a core of juicy acidity, and a density of fruit that will reveal further depths with short-term cellaring. This tapers off with admirable length while exotic inner florals slowly fade.

But perhaps my favourite description is from Jancis Robinson:

Intensely stony citrus entwined with a richer and lightly floral, stone-fruit aroma from the Malvasia. Creamy texture from the oak and lees but not in the least oaky, the breadth in the mouth also from the Malvasia, I think. This has fabulous depth and density and yet remains so fresh and refreshing with a long, stony but also crisply citrus finish, even a hint of orange pith on the finish and the merest suggestion of grainy texture like fresh pears.
