Giuliani is very much unknown in the US, but something of a sensation in the European press. British Rhone expert Jonathan Livingstone-Learmonth rates this 2019 their best Chateauneuf ever, calling it “a simpático Châteauneuf,” with “a warm roundness, black berry fruits including cassis and blueberry.”
And Jancis Robinson:
Lovely bramble-fruit purity on the nose, full of expressive and attractive red fruit, followed by savoury chocolate aromas and soft tannins. Enjoyable and articulate, with lovely Grenache typicality plus the savoury, herbal edge of Châteauneuf.
This is from very low-yielding vines over 60 years old in the eastern Bédarrides sector of Chateauneuf (by Vieux Telegraphe), and makes a similarly pure, beautiful and delicious Chateauneuf.

The estate's vines are located on the south-southeast side of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation in the commune of Bédarrides. It is an extraordinary terroir shaped by the Rhône and swept by the mistral, a terroir with a unique microclimate. The clay-limestone soils are largely covered with rolled pebbles, characteristic of the Châteauneuf du Pape terroir. From sandy and stony soils, the wines draw their finesse and elegance, the pebbles contribute to the body and the structure.
