These are as good as any Amarone at twice or more their prices. Plus, unlike most Amarones, they are more rich and fresh (less pruney), so they are far more versatile with food.

Indeed, Vivino ranks it #1 among “the top 14 Amarone wines in North Carolina.” And they price it at $45.99 – saying “Good value for the money: similar Amarones cost 75% more.”

This is a majestic, intense, ethereal wine, with notes of laurel and cherries in alcohol. The extreme balance of all its components makes it suitable for long aging.

Wow! Black cherry, prune, brown sugar, fig, baking spices, & chocolate. Medium-full body. So balanced, layered, and delicious.

Easily the best Italian red I’ve ever had. What a wonderful, accessible, well rounded red. Fruit forward, complex, with long…long…lingering notes. Ugh, I’m going back tomorrow to get a case. Wow!

This is one of my favorite wines. No matter the year I've never had a bad bottle. Earth and peat-moss on the nose. Nice and smoky up front with lots of dark fruit and some mushroom. Chocolate, cigar box, leather, and earth play through the midranges and it resolves into a nice ling spicy finish. This wine is not for the faint of heart.
