Named after the Kingfisher (pt. Guarda Rios – lit. River Guard), the grapes that go into this blend of Aragonês (aka Tempranillo or Tinta Roriz), Syrah, Trincadeira, and Alicante Bouschet are harvested from cooler regions in Alentejo near coursing streams, all the better to express the exuberant flavor and aromatic intensity of the fruit.
