This oh-so-classic Russian River Pinot Noir, reminiscent of the early efforts from Dehlinger and Rochioli (and Gary Farrell, of course), won a Gold Medal at the Sommeliers Choice Awards. They said:
Refreshing aromas of strawberry, cherry, and oak on the nose. A full-bodied wine with ripe strawberry and cherry flavors with hints of violets, rhubarb, and oak, followed by a medium-long silky finish.
It was also “Highly Recommended” by Tastings.com:
Aroma of baking spices with a dry medium-to-full body and a medium-to-long morello cherry, thyme, pickle brine, and baking chocolate finish with moderate oak flavor. A sturdy Pinot Noir that would stand up to duck dishes.
