This is so seldom seen that there are no American press reviews and even none on CellarTracker. However, it did win the top award, the Coup de Coeur, from the French Hachette Guide. Which is quite a feat: as it essentially placed Daulny at the very top of their Loire Valley Rosé category. Indeed, of all the major French wine publications, the Hachette Guide (with Gault Millau) is by far the most stingy in its scores and awards.
Earning a Coup de Couer is a very big deal – an honor normally reserved for grand cru Burgundies, First Growth Bordeaux and prestige Champagnes.

This is a supremely sophisticated rosé. Delicately coloured and fairly full flavoured, it has wonderful complexity combining summer fruits, ripe apple and minerals with a sustained, refreshing finish that is just dry.
