We tasted this with François Lequin (of Domaine Lequin-Colin above) in Paris. It’s the top wine from his side hustle in the Mâcon and we were blown away. Handpicked Chardonnay from vines planted on limestone at 300m above sea level overlooking Tournus. Barrel-fermented with 15% new oak. Intense, balanced and long with green apple and crème fraiche notes (the real thing from Normandy rather than the insipid supermarket stuff). This would be super with a traditional baked ham.
