An archetypal Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The Wine Enthusiast says this of the 2020:
A good deal of vibrancy shines on the nose with time in the glass offering lime, peach, passionfruit and dried green herbs.
2021 is of course even better.
Vivino lists the average cost at $20.44, and it’s one of the highest-rated New Zealand Sauvignons at that price. In fact, it rates higher than the Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc, the Wine Spectator’s “Value Wine of the Year.”
Here are a few reviews:
Strong notes of grapefruit touch of lime stone with a hint of lemon peel in the finish. Classic New Zealand.
So pleased with this wine! Gentle citrus and more importantly the gooseberry is discreet. So good we have bought more. I find excessive citrus fruit inhibits pairing with delicate food especially white fish and this wine this works well. Highly Recommended.
Lovely melon scent that finished like velvet on my tounge. Definitely crisp, light and refreshing.
We’ve had a lot of terrific New Zealand Sauvignon deals this year – but this one may very well be the best.
