From a wonderfully cool site in the Petaluma Gap, this is a superb new Pinot Noir for Gundlach-Bundschu.
The winery says:
Sourced from the gentle slopes and clay-based soils in the Petaluma Gap in the Sonoma Coast Appellation. Classic rich, bright, coastal Pinot from a pioneer in California Pinot Noir.
This is every bit as fine as the regular $47 Gundlach-Bundschu Pinot Noir from this vineyard, but like the Cabernet fashioned in a more immediately delicious and inviting style.
It’s also organic, vegan, very gently extracted and just wonderfully pure.
