The 2021 Le Pich Chardonnay offers exquisite finesse, energy, and the rich fruit for which the Russian River is famed. On the nose, ripe pear and lightly toasted brioche mingle with notes of magnolia flowers and river rock. The palate beams with bright golden apples and roasted quince whose decadent intensity is balanced by lithe acidity and a subtle saline lift. The luxuriously silken texture slips into a long finish of baking spice, green apple, and gentle minerality.
This is indeed a luxurious style of Russian River Chardonnay – and quite a buy at this low price.
