Domaine Laroche is one of the most important high-quality producers of Chablis. And their exception Languedoc Chardonnay, from a uniquely cool, limestone rich single vineyard, could easily pass for a good Chablis.
2021, drastically reduced due to frost, is the smallest vintage here in decades: with incredible quality, very concentrated and intense fruit. Which of course makes this even more Chablis-like than usual. And even finer.
“Best Sommelier of the World” Andreas Larsson says:
Pure and fresh nose, no evident oak and aromas of cool and paler stone fruit, ripe citrus, lemongrass and crushed nuts. Textured palate with good volume and an underlying vivid freshness, moderately ripe fruit flavours with a gentle creaminess, long and lingering finish in a pure style.
