Classic Smith Wooton Cabernet Franc with aromas of dark red fruit, earth, and perfume. The wine exudes confidence with bold fruit on the palate and a leather and cedar background. The wine closes with a long finish of dried herbs and tobacco.
Cabernet Franc has always been one of my favorite varietals, and the 2021 clearly shows why. While Cabernet Franc has a reputation of being difficult to produce as a single varietal, I love the challenge and reward. This wine is going to be one of our signature vintages.
