Juicy and generous on the palate with baked cherry, fresh strawberry, cranberry, and baking spices. Perfectly balanced with bright acidity and a supple mouthfeel.
Balade, by the way, is Belle Glos’s “Single Vineyard Survey” offering: from the individual vineyard that Wagner feels performed best in any given vintage. In the very warm, super-rich and concentrated 2022 vintage, it was this one in Arroyo Seco.
Frankly, for its combination of richness, power and opulence with unusual elegance for the winery, this may be the single best Belle Glos Pinot Noir we’ve sold!
