Berthenet was the first grower in Montagny to adopt sustainable viticulture, planting grass between his rows which he plows in. All of his Aligotés are outstanding, but this very limited cuvee from vines planted in 1950 on clay and granite soils, and fermented with indigenous yeast, is just sensational.
And at only 12.5% alcohol, too!
