From the winery:
This vintage is characterized by a very beautiful ruby-purple carmine red color, with elegant relief and varied reflections. A fruity but reserved nose evolves very slowly with aromas of violet and raspberry, discreet notes of grilled spices and leather.
94 points from Wine Advocate:
The 2022 Fleurie, rooted in clay and manganese-rich soil that's more typical of Moulin-à-Vent, is always unique for the appellation, but especially so in 2022 with its ripe, succulent, smoke-tinged palate. Offering up a bouquet of red and black currants intermingled with stewed blackberries, violets, aniseed, cloves and a subtle hint of charcoal-grilled meats, it's sappy and concentrated, with a full-bodied palate built around abundant, fine-grained tannins.
